In light of recent events I had to think hard again whether to make parts of this website available to paid subscriptions only, or keep it free for everybody. It was a tough decision. The extensive information given for the japanese catalogs CTA and AMP is unique worldwide. Please note that developing, expanding and maintaining this website and information presented as well as keeping the largest stock of CTA and AMP CDs takes a lot of dedication, time, work and money.

Japan Travel Report 2012
Introduction
This is going to be an extensive weekend special edition newsletter. Most of this newsletter covers topics of my recent trip to Japan. Main purpose of this trip was to establish a personal contact to Japanese Tango collectors. A significant part of todays Tango music being available worldwide other than from big labels is based on their collections. You can read about my meetings with the Japan Tangoacademy, the family of Yoshihiro Oiwa-san, Akihito Baba-san and Yasuhiko Fukukawa-san in the chapters of AMP, CTA and Audio Park as well as within my extensive Japan Travel Report.
But there is another topic I am very glad to announce, it's the Austrian Alpine Abrazo 2012 Trailer produced by Stefan Ludwig! What a lovely memory of this 1st edition of Alpine Abrazo back in October this year. Featuring a rare Canaro Tango tanda it also substitute the rare Tango A/V presentation for this month.

It was my very first trip to Japan and various people are interested in different aspects of my trip. Introduction
This newsletter is going to be a short one. So far I did not have one free day in Vienna in October and since I will travel to Tokyo on Monday for three weeks I could have skipped this edition or write a short one.
So there is a big thank you to all the people attending my first edition of Austrian Alpine Abrazo, updated recommended international tango events and details about my Práctica in Vienna.
CD-wise there is an updated CD-list of CDs being in stock and the information about almost all relevant CDs by Sondor (Uruguay) being in stock and on sale as well.
Otherwise you will have to wait for my return from Tokyo in the beginning of November and the next newsletter hopefully containing lots of interesting information straight from Japan.

I am very glad to present a big surprise in this newsletter - three brand new, surprising and exciting Akihito Baba - Club Tango Argentino CD releases! So just after the last three releases in June there are three more and I consider them being even better than the last ones. Just to point out what this means: These are brand new transfers nobody ever has heared before worldwide, because they did not exist until today (August 2012)!
The monthly Audio-/Video presentations are dedicated to the new CTA-releases presenting one track of each new CD!
There are some places left at Alpine Abrazo 2012 taking place in Mallnitz 4 to 7 October in case you are interested in spending an international tango weekend in the Austrian Alps!

More than 400 CDs arranged to a new CD-piano-foto finally completeing the Canaro-collection
A new massive CD delivery from Buenos Aires made another CD-piano-foto possible. Besides of many other CDs the ~140 CD collection of Francisco Canaro is finally completed. It took more than a year to do so. We can look forward to listening to lots of unknown, rare and exciting Canaro tangos!

Massiv update of the Club Tango Argentino catalog
45 new CTA-CDs could be added. In addition to that, pictures of CD-front-/back-/inlay-covers in high resolution of almost 170 original CTA-CDs were updated. For most of the CDs you now may find full cover information in my CTA-catalog making it the most comprehensive source for CTA worldwide. (click it to view full size version).

CTA-CD deliveries
Finally I received my CTA-CD orders summing up to 200 CDs! The only place being big enough to unpack, check and display them was my piano making it my very special "CTA-piano". Check out my CTA in stock page in the near future where I'll offer some of those CDs.
Updating the CTA-catalog with my newest information I had to find out that 24 CTA-CDs went out of print recently! So if you are interested in a certain CD do not wait to long - you never know how long it will be possible to get it!
